After 29 minutes, Artemio Pasqual mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Isótopos de Albuquerque and the Potrerillos players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Potrerillos booed when Isótopos de Albuquerque was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Artemio Pasqual didn't get a good kick on the ball. Potrerillos's supporters rose to their feet, but Dionisio Luzea was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Reynaldo Geleberto breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Rolando Derwin came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Potrerillos fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rolando Derwin couldn't finish the play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Guido Valery stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Potrerillos getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Rolando Derwin hit a great ball. Ramon Tiniebra received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Amadeo Santio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 65 minutes of play, Potrerillos's Eugenio Oroitz made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Reynaldo Geleberto was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Artemio Pasqual was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 68 minutes had been played. Artemio Pasqual hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. A hard shot 70 in the game by Rolando Derwin from a close distance when the talented Reynaldo Geleberto managed to make a qualified save. Isótopos de Albuquerque's players were relieved. Potrerillos's Rolando Derwin got a good chance for a goal in the 72nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 73rd minute, Eugenio Oroitz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Guido Valery charged in rather forcefully in the 78th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Guido Valery the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 79th minute, Guido Valery hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 81 minutes into the match, Isótopos de Albuquerque's goal looked a bit too open when Rolando Derwin came free, but Reynaldo Geleberto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alonzo Cordarrol received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Reynaldo Geleberto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rolando Derwins short, quick shot in the 88thth minute got Reynaldo Geleberto to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. When the final whistle sounded Potrerillos left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Isótopos de Albuquerque.
