Mancio Puig took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luis Egoi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Einar Tham showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cipriano Aztore in the 19th minute of the match. Chacabuco FC were furious when Rodolfo Gartzea was red carded, 21 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. After 21 played minutes Chacabuco FC got a freekick which was hit by Rodolfo Gartzea. In the 25th minute of the match Salada Grande got a corner. Chacabuco FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Florencio Markel ran over to the corner to take the kick. In the 30th minute, Cipriano Aztore left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Salada Grande fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. Chacabuco FC's Einar Tham played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Diego Dantae in the 39th minute of play. In the 40th minute, Benedicto Frederico hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Diego Dantae was the one to do the kick off. Einar Tham was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Diego Dantae couldn't finish the play. With 89 minutes on the clock, Gonzalo Lawrence commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In the 89th minute, one of Salada Grande:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Salada Grande. Salada Grande:s Mancio Puig showed great skill when he stopped Apolo Ireno:s penalty. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Robustiano Fernandez during the 93rd minute.
