Hilario Montay charged in rather forcefully in the 15th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Hilario Montay the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 16 played minutes Borussia Dortmund got a freekick which was hit by Hilario Montay. Joaquin Edorta scored 0-1 in the 18th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jimeno Tartalo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. BELEN DE ESCOBAR CITY's Jimeno Tartalo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wilfredo Bide in the 24th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Isaac Hernando during the 30th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Jimeno Tartalo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 46 minutes into the match, BELEN DE ESCOBAR CITY's goal looked a bit too open when Joaquin Edorta came free, but Jimeno Tartalo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Santos Tome stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Santos Tome came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the BELEN DE ESCOBAR CITY fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Santos Tome couldn't finish the play. The Borussia Dortmund supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Borussia Dortmund would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
