Ariel Katia struck a weak shot in the 5th minute. Angelino Cordeara didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vela Bola. If Urbano Gombal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. If Eliseo Matteo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 13 minutes into the match, Vela Bola's goal looked a bit too open when Eliseo Matteo came free, but Fausto Berdoi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Chañarense defense, Ariel Katia kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Angelino Cordeara. The Chañarense fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Angelino Cordeara should have stopped the shot. Ariel Katia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Angelino Cordeara tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Isaias Turi fell near the penalty area in the 25th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Chañarense's protests and gave Isaias Turi a yellow card for diving instead. Vela Bola made a substitution. Luis Odon replaced Urbano Gombal. In a very dangerous position, a player in Chañarense fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 24th minute. Penalty! The goalkeeper, Angelino Cordeara, was totally fooled by Vela Bola's Albino Mundo, who 27 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. If Ariel Katia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 38 minutes, Ariel Katia managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vela Bola's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ariel Katia was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Chañarense's Eliseo Matteo got a good chance for a goal in the 49th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

Luis Odon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 56 minutes into the match, Vela Bola's goal looked a bit too open when Mateo Quin came free, but Fausto Berdoi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Ariel Katia managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vela Bola's supporters rose to their feet, but Ariel Katia was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Angelino Cordeara breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Luis Odon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Angelino Cordeara having to interfere. Angelino Cordeara took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luis Odon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Eliseo Matteo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fausto Berdoi having to interfere. Fausto Berdoi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eliseo Matteo in the 74th minute of play. Vela Bola's Ariel Katia got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ariel Katia might have been able to make a better finish in the 87th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Angelino Cordeara. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ariel Katia ran back to his position shaking his head. If Luis Odon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Albino Mundo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
