Celedonio Asier's late challenge caught a Deportivo Alavés's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Celedonio Asier helped the player get up and apologised. Celedonio Asier hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Larrea FC's Samuel Tab got a free kick in the 11th minute. Deportivo Alavés's Mauricio Faro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Isidoro Oihenarte in the 17th minute of play. Isidro Cugat came free with the goalkeeper in the 19th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Braulio Florin could save by the left post. The score was now 2-0. In the 30th minute, Aureliano Kaxen fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. In the 33rd match minute, Deportivo Alavés was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Isidro Cugat to maneuver through the defense. Isidoro Oihenarte received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Mauricio Faro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 36 minutes into the game, Fernando Emenon was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Deportivo Alavés's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Larrea FC the free kick. Deportivo Alavés's Mauricio Faro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 56th minute of the match, managed to save Deportivo Alavés from getting a goal against them. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
