Fernando Emenon hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. In the 15th minute, Ariel Katia fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Mauricio Faro, passed just outside the right post. Fausto Berdoi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aureliano Kaxen, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Aureliano Kaxen to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute, Ariel Katia got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Isidro Cugat came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the Deportivo Alavés fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Isidro Cugat couldn't finish the play. Blas Bautista recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Deportivo Alavés's zone, Ariel Katia stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mauricio Faro came out of the goal and Ariel Katia tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cesar Eate kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. Ariel Katia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Isidro Cugat charged in rather forcefully in the 83rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Isidro Cugat the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 83 played minutes Deportivo Alavés got a freekick which was hit by Isidro Cugat. Urbano Gombal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Mauricio Faro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Deportivo Alavés's Arsenio Lope shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 92nd minute of play. The shot was stopped by Fausto Berdoi but with some difficulty. 94 minutes into the game, Vela Bola's Urbano Gombal nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Mauricio Faro made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. Vela Bola's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
