The referee gave Niupi FC a penalty, 20 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Zeledon Florin, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Rinconada's 严星天. 0-1. After having played for 26 minutes, Braulio Perutxo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rinconada's supporters crossed their fingers, but Braulio Perutxo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ezequiel Lastur sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 34th minute Ezequiel Lastur shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but 严星天 saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Niupi FC getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Ezequiel Lastur hit a great ball. After 37 minutes of play Niupi FC's Enzo Calixto was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After 41 played minutes Niupi FC got a freekick which was hit by Zeledon Florin. Braulio Perutxo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After the first half Niupi FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ezequiel Lastur stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Niupi FC's zone, Braulio Perutxo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gilberto Garaile came out of the goal and Braulio Perutxo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 63rd minute, Ezequiel Lastur got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 64 played minutes Rinconada got a freekick which was hit by Isaac Ryers. Mateo Txordon kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. When Braulio Perutxo came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the Rinconada fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Braulio Perutxo couldn't finish the play. In the 79th minute, Ezequiel Lastur got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ezequiel Lasturs short, quick shot in the 82ndth minute got 严星天 to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Niupi FC's Gilberto Garaile played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Braulio Perutxo in the 84th minute of play. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see Rinconada lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
