In the 13th minute Adolfo Xabel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rogelio Lano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 15th minute, Leonides Berbiz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 17th match minute, LosRanaPola was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Maximino Donio to maneuver through the defense. Moises Cordarrel was a little too slow when Jacinto Theobald got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 29th minute. The score was now 1-2. After 45 minutes of play Perú's Adolfo Xabel was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground.
