Freddy Lonzo who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 22ndth minute tested the skills of Dalmacio Medina when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Deportivo Santa Monica's Dalmacio Medina played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Placido Santana in the 23rd minute of play. A collision led to Deportivo Santa Monica getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Feliberto Karmel hit a great ball. After 31 minutes of play, Deportivo Santa Monica's Jonatan Crescencio made it 3-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ceferino Guillerme was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 36th minute, Jonatan Crescencio left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Deportivo Santa Monica fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-3. Obligado FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After having played for 42 minutes, Basilio Blasco managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Deportivo Santa Monica's supporters crossed their fingers, but Basilio Blasco was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Feliberto Karmel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Di Ting Zhou kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. Alberto Sugar, 47 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Enrique Intxixu made a kick off. Dalmacio Medina made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Enrique Intxixu in the 54th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Jonatan Crescencio's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ceferino Guillerme was relentless in the 57th minute of the game. After 94 minutes of play Obligado FC's Isidro Quin was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Alberto Sugar shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. The Obligado FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Deportivo Santa Monica were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
