The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 3 played minutes Pinamar got a freekick which was hit by Daniel Firman. An unexpectedly hard shot by Astor Menendo in the 9th minute of play forced Pinamar's goalkeeper Hector Estevon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 11 minutes into the match, Pinamar's goal looked a bit too open when Astor Menendo came free, but Hector Estevon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 11 played minutes Pinamar got a freekick which was hit by Virgilio Panpili. Hector Estevon didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Rio Galaxy's Astor Menendo shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 2-0 in the ordered_time% minute. John Rudolph came free with the goalkeeper in the 15th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Hector Estevon could save by the left post. The audience was convinced that Astor Menendo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Hector Estevon was relentless in the 16th minute of the game. Hector Estevon was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Astor Menendo showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 5-0 in the 24 minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 7-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Pedro Afonso was the one to do the kick off. When the match had gone on for 54 minutes, Astor Menendo put it in 8-0 from a short distance just to the right of Hector Estevon. After 58 played minutes, Rio Galaxy's Teodoro Darien shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Hector Estevon came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. Rio Galaxy's Venancio Neron proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 62nd minute of the match, managed to save Rio Galaxy from getting a goal against them. Jose Ruy received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Venancio Neron came out and tried to block the shot, but Jose Ruy slotted it home off the left post making it 8-1 in the 62nd minute. Venancio Neron made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jose Ruy in the 64th minute. Pinamar's Hector Estevon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jacobo Marcones in the 66th minute of play. John Rudolph succeeded in the game's 68th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 9-1. In the 72nd match minute, Pinamar was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pablo Endira to maneuver through the defense. After some careless play in the Pinamar defense, Jacobo Marcones kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Hector Estevon. The Pinamar fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Hector Estevon should have stopped the shot. John Rudolph struck a weak shot in the 78th minute. Hector Estevon didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rio Galaxy. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling John Rudolph in the 80th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hector Estevon prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 81 minutes into the game, Rio Galaxy's Javier Milei nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Hector Estevon made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 11-1. After 85 minutes of play, Rio Galaxy's Jacobo Marcones made it 12-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Hector Estevon was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 91st minute, John Rudolph got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 94th minute Astor Menendo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hector Estevon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 96 minutes into the match, Pinamar's goal looked a bit too open when John Rudolph came free, but Hector Estevon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 97th minute, Jose Ruy got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
