The referee felt a red card was in order, 2 minutes into the game, when Dionisio Acuña put in a rough tackle. Rio Galaxy's Venancio Neron played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Evaristo Berenguer in the 9th minute of play. Moscovi's Erubiel Paulin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jacobo Marcones in the 10th minute of play. John Rudolph could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 11th minute of the match, but Erubiel Paulin made a huge save. Erubiel Paulin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jacobo Marcones in the 12th minute of play. In the 22nd match minute, Moscovi was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tomas Quinito to maneuver through the defense. Rio Galaxy's Alonzo Cerilo shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 24th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Erubiel Paulin but with some difficulty. In the 25th minute, Wilfredo Liberto ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Venancio Neron was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wilfredo Liberto in the 28th minute of play forced Rio Galaxy's goalkeeper Venancio Neron to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 29 minutes, Jacobo Marcones managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rio Galaxy's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jacobo Marcones was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Erubiel Paulin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jacobo Marcones, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. 36 minutes into the match, Moscovi's goal looked a bit too open when Astor Menendo came free, but Erubiel Paulin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Rio Galaxy getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. John Rudolph hit a great ball. In the 43rd minute, Alonzo Cerilo sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Moscovi's Erubiel Paulin didn't even have to move. After the first half Moscovi were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

After 54 played minutes Moscovi got a freekick which was hit by Wilfredo Liberto. In the 56th minute Domingo Quintyn shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Erubiel Paulin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 58 played minutes Moscovi got a freekick which was hit by Tomas Quinito. Domingo Quintyn kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. Erubiel Paulin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Domingo Quintyn in the 63rd minute of play. In the 70th minute, Astor Menendo made a precise shot to the right of Erubiel Paulin. Moscovi's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Moscovi made a substitution. Ubaldo Ursino replaced Evaristo Berenguer. After a defensive mix-up in Moscovi's zone, Astor Menendo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Erubiel Paulin came out of the goal and Astor Menendo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Wilfredo Liberto scored 1-2 in the 78th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Venancio Neron, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 81 minutes into the game, Ezequiel Diagur threw the ball into play from the sideline. Rio Galaxy's Teodoro Darien quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. An unexpectedly hard shot by Domingo Quintyn in the 84th minute of play forced Moscovi's goalkeeper Erubiel Paulin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Venancio Neron showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wilfredo Liberto in the 85th minute of the match. Wilfredo Liberto who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 85thth minute tested the skills of Venancio Neron when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 88th minute, Jacobo Marcones made a precise shot to the right of Erubiel Paulin. Moscovi's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. Erubiel Paulin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from John Rudolph in the 96th minute of play. Rio Galaxy were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
