When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

After a rather tough play, Zarlanga's Osvaldo Laffitte got a free kick in the 51st minute. In the 52nd minute Cristian Bastian shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Natalio Froila saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cristian Bastian's late challenge caught a Zarlanga's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cristian Bastian helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Deseado AFC's Cristian Bastian got a free kick in the 55th minute. Deseado AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Osvaldo Laffitte was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. Deseado AFC's Marcial Paulin got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 86th minute Osvaldo Laffitte shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fabio Evangelista saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Zarlanga walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
