The supporters of Deseado AFC booed when Lomas FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Blas Arixo didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rene Barea in the 29th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fabio Evangelista saved Deseado AFC from getting behind. In the 30th match minute, Deseado AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Santo Milian to maneuver through the defense. Lomas FC's Christian Sidro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcial Paulin in the 34th minute of play. The throw-in from Saul Sengrat in the 39th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Deseado AFC's Urbano Llanos. Christian Sidro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Bastian, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. If Cristian Bastian had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Deseado AFC's Marcial Paulin got a good chance for a goal in the 66th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 70 minutes into the game, Lomas FC's Ciro Honesto nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Fabio Evangelista made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. Cristian Bastian hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. Saul Sengrat could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 74th minute of the match, but Fabio Evangelista made a huge save. 76 minutes into the match, Cristian Bastian had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Christian Sidro. Lomas FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cristian Bastian was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. Sixto Indar hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ciro Honesto got free with Fabio Evangelista in the 82nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
