In the 5th minute the ball was on its way in behind Golondrinas AFC's goalkeeper Paolo Ceandro, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Wilfredo Jacindo came up free with the goalie in the 11th minute, the Granatinto FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Wilfredo Jacindo couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bruno Blasco in the 19th minute of play forced Granatinto FC's goalkeeper Severiano Malvin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Wilfredo Jacindo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Severiano Malvin didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ovidio Piorno went, in the 27th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. After 31 minutes, Edgardo Rosalio mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Granatinto FC and the Golondrinas AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Severiano Malvin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bruno Blasco in the 34th minute of play. Alberto Mateo lost his temper 34 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 33rd minute of the game. One of Granatinto FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Golondrinas AFC:s goal. The referee gave Golondrinas AFC a penalty, 36 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Alberto Sanson, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Granatinto FC's Severiano Malvin. 1-2. 44 minutes into the match, Golondrinas AFC's goalkeeper Paolo Ceandro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dan Harhoiu. The Granatinto FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Golondrinas AFC were winning 1-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Dan Harhoiu to make the kick off. The supporters of Golondrinas AFC booed when Granatinto FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aquiles Refugio didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 57th minute Dan Harhoiu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paolo Ceandro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dan Harhoiu in the 61st minute of play forced Golondrinas AFC's goalkeeper Paolo Ceandro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Paolo Ceandro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dan Harhoiu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Granatinto FC getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Godfredo Bladi hit a great ball. 97 minutes into the match, Bruno Blasco notched a goal, 1-4, to the right of Granatinto FC's Severiano Malvin. Severiano Malvin was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see Granatinto FC lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
