The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Benedicto Karmel made an important save on a dangerous shot by Prudencio Pueblo in the 22nd minute. With a little luck, Lugano HRM's Benedicto Karmel got control of the ball when Prudencio Pueblo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Reynaldo Elequemedo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lokon Dibala in the 26th minute of the match. Lugano HRM's Benedicto Karmel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nemesio Gaitan in the 27th minute of play. 29 minutes into the match, Lokon Dibala notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Independiente's Reynaldo Elequemedo. Reynaldo Elequemedo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 32 minutes into the game, Lugano HRM's Lokon Dibala nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Reynaldo Elequemedo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Baldomiro Naelio made a kick off. In the 53rd minute, Jonatan Mikolas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Lugano HRM's Benedicto Karmel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nemesio Gaitan in the 54th minute of play. Benedicto Karmel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Baldomiro Naelio in the 55th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nemesio Gaitan in the 58th minute of play forced Lugano HRM's goalkeeper Benedicto Karmel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nemesio Gaitan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 65 minutes, Prudencio Pueblo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Independiente's supporters crossed their fingers, but Prudencio Pueblo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 67 minutes of play, Independiente's Baldomiro Naelio made it 1-6 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Benedicto Karmel was left in no man's land by his defense there! Federico Belmiro kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. 72 minutes into the game, Lokon Dibala recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Reynaldo Elequemedo. Lokon Dibala showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-7. Lokon Dibala hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. 81 minutes into the game, Baldomiro Naelio cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-7. Benedicto Karmel was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Lugano HRM's Benedicto Karmel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Baldomiro Naelio in the 86th minute of play. After some careless play in the Lugano HRM defense, Nemesio Gaitan kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Benedicto Karmel. The Lugano HRM fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Benedicto Karmel should have stopped the shot. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see Independiente lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
