Eloy Liberto didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Fabio Perfecto went, in the 6th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. In the 10th minute Fabio Perfecto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eloy Liberto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Liniers FC's Fabio Perfecto in the 11th minute got a chance for a shot 11th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Shurima FC's goalie prevented a goal. The Shurima FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Eloy Liberto should have stopped the shot. If Edgard Rexino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fabio Perfecto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Liniers FC's Prudencio Cresconio got a free kick in the 33rd minute. Victorino Endira, 34 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Eloy Liberto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kazimierz Kazanowski in the 36th minute of play. Fabio Perfecto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 44th match minute, Shurima FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Modesto Bonifaco to maneuver through the defense. Prudencio Cresconio, 45 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Edgard Rexino made a kick off. With a little luck, Shurima FC's Eloy Liberto got control of the ball when Fabio Perfecto tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to Shurima FC getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Victorino Endira hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Kazimierz Kazanowski in the 59th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Eloy Liberto saved Shurima FC from getting behind. Candido Marin's late challenge caught a Shurima FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Candido Marin helped the player get up and apologised. After 64 played minutes Liniers FC got a freekick which was hit by Candido Marin. Edgard Rexino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Eloy Liberto made an important save on a dangerous shot by Fabio Perfecto in the 68th minute. Candido Marin hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. Shurima FC's Edgard Rexino got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Moises Ostargi came up free with the goalie in the 81st minute, the Liniers FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Moises Ostargi couldn't finish the play. Jairo Eleder showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edgard Rexino, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. 93 minutes into the match, Shurima FC's goalkeeper Eloy Liberto had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fabio Perfecto. Liniers FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
