Baldomiro Naelio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 6th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Independiente's zone, Sebastian Cordairo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Reynaldo Elequemedo came out of the goal and Sebastian Cordairo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 8 minutes into the game, Anibal Ponce was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Independiente's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Elenri fulbo the free kick. Anibal Ponce kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. Sebastian Cordairo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Reynaldo Elequemedo having to make a save. Zacarias Foro hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. Independiente's Nemesio Gaitan got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Baldomiro Naelio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Reynaldo Elequemedo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Rafael Patrido went, in the 20th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. In the 25th minute, Baldomiro Naelio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Martin Iaki in the 26thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Leonides Cebrian, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 28thth minute of the game Baldomiro Naelio who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Elenri fulbo's Leonides Cebrian was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Independiente's Reynaldo Elequemedo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zacarias Foro in the 29th minute of play. 31 minutes into the match, Elenri fulbo's goalkeeper Leonides Cebrian had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Martin Iaki. Reynaldo Elequemedo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zacarias Foro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 35th minute, Sebastian Cordairo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 36 minutes into the match, Zacarias Foro notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Independiente's Reynaldo Elequemedo. Reynaldo Elequemedo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zacarias Foro in the 39th minute of play forced Independiente's goalkeeper Reynaldo Elequemedo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Zacarias Foro stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Elenri fulbo booed when Independiente was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Silvio Gregory didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match had gone on for 56 minutes, Zacarias Foro took a quick shot and it went in 0-4 without a chance for Reynaldo Elequemedo to make any attempt to save it. When Independiente's Martin Iaki in the 60th minute got a chance for a shot 60th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Elenri fulbo's goalie prevented a goal. Leonides Cebrian showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Martin Iaki in the 62nd minute of the match. In the 68th minute Zacarias Foro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Reynaldo Elequemedo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Martin Iaki sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Leonides Cebrian came out of the goal in the 75th minute to try and stop a shot by Independiente's Martin Iaki. But to his dismay, Martin Iaki quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-4. In the 82nd minute Zacarias Foro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Reynaldo Elequemedo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Reynaldo Elequemedo made a fantastic save in the 92nd minute, when Sebastian Cordairo sent off a good shot on target. After a rather tough play, Independiente's Baldomiro Naelio got a free kick in the 94th minute. Leonides Cebrian took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Baldomiro Naelio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Elenri fulbo's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
