Ariel Maore might have been able to make a better finish in the 16th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Benjamin Danel. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ariel Maore ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 17th match minute, Candelaria was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristobal Jacob to maneuver through the defense. Albino Estebe scored 1-0 in the 21st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Benjamin Danel, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When Albino Estebe came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the Centro Español fans jumped to their feet. The audience was convinced that Albino Estebe's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Benjamin Danel was relentless in the 29th minute of the game. Benjamin Danel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Albino Estebe, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. 70 minutes into the match, Centro Español's goalkeeper Celestino Orzaize had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rene Monico. After 72 minutes, Fausto Abarca mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Centro Español and the Candelaria players grew even worse after the yellow card.
