Casimiro Mano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpected shot in the 27th minute by Edgardo Gilesindo got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. If Casimiro Mano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Casimiro Mano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Rexino Salva tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Edgardo Gilesindo's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 42ndth minute, Rexino Salva skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. When Casimiro Mano came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the Wanda fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Casimiro Mano couldn't finish the play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Casimiro Mano to strike the kick off in the second half. Wanda's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eusebio Frantzes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
