Spectators: 7205 (Terracing: 5499, Seating: 1686, VIP seats: 20) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Godfredo Sanson started the match with the kick off. Silvio Iruinea kicked well hit freekick during the 2nd minute of the match. Godfredo Sanson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Peder Wållander having to interfere. Peder Wållander came out of the goal in the 9th minute to try and stop a shot by Rosario FC's Godfredo Sanson. But to his dismay, Godfredo Sanson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. A collision led to Douglas Haig getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Hipolito Belasko hit a great ball. When Roman Remir fell near the penalty area in the 16th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Rosario FC's protests and gave Roman Remir a yellow card for diving instead. In the 19th match minute, Douglas Haig was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Silvio Iruinea to maneuver through the defense. If Godfredo Sanson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 35 minutes into the match, Rosario FC's goal looked a bit too open when Hipolito Belasko came free, but Ricardo Ekain reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 38 minutes, Wilfredo Piarres managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rosario FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Wilfredo Piarres was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Peder Wållander took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Godfredo Sanson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Hipolito Belasko fell near the penalty area in the 45th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Douglas Haig's protests and gave Hipolito Belasko a yellow card for diving instead. In the 46th minute, Hipolito Belasko hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Justo Tonio during the 47th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Douglas Haig's Justo Tonio got a free kick in the 47th minute. After the first half Rosario FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Domingo Oliverio to make the kick off. With an all-out effort, Rosario FC's Peder Wållander threw himself towards the right post 54 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Godfredo Sanson, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. A collision led to Rosario FC getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Justo Jokin hit a great ball. Rosario FC's Ricardo Ekain played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Justo Tonio in the 58th minute of play. Godfredo Sanson blasted a shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Peder Wållander having to make a save. Hipolito Belasko fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ricardo Ekain having to interfere. Enzo Mon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Peder Wållander tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Godfredo Sanson blasted a shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Peder Wållander having to make a save. Gaston Naike sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 72nd match minute, Douglas Haig was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Americo Beti to maneuver through the defense. Enzo Mon in the 73rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Peder Wållander, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Rosario FC's Ricardo Ekain played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hipolito Belasko in the 75th minute of play. In the 84th minute, Wilfredo Piarres hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Justo Tonio was shown his second yellow card after 87 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Godfredo Sanson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Godfredo Sanson in the 91st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Peder Wållander prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience thought a goal was coming when Enzo Mon got free with Peder Wållander in the 93rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
