In the 29th minute Carlos Eduardo de Godoi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rexino Salva saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Casimiro Bikendi in the 34th minute of play forced PUNTA ALTA WARRIORS's goalkeeper Rexino Salva to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Casimiro Bikendi couldn't finish the play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Casimiro Bikendi in the 58th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rexino Salva saved PUNTA ALTA WARRIORS from getting behind. If Carlos Eduardo de Godoi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 62nd minute Casimiro Bikendi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rexino Salva saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. During the 63rd minute of the match Teofilo Quin completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. With an all-out effort, Desamparados FC's Rexino Salva threw himself towards the right post 97 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Silvio Iruinea, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Desamparados FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
