Deportivo Florida's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ariel Santo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Santiago Furman hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. In the 13th minute, Jaime Gar left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Portugalete AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. 16 minutes into the game, Portugalete AFC's Ariel Santo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Leonardo Etor made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ariel Santo in the 21st minute of play forced Deportivo Florida's goalkeeper Leonardo Etor to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Portugalete AFC's Ariel Santo in the 22nd minute got a chance for a shot 22nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Leonardo Etor showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ariel Santo in the 31st minute of the match. Jonas Udalaitz blasted a shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Leonardo Etor having to make a save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ariel Santo in the 37th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Leonardo Etor prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Leonardo Etor took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ariel Santo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ariel Santo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After having played for 55 minutes, Ariel Santo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Portugalete AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ariel Santo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A hard shot 56 in the game by Aurelio Izel from a close distance when the talented Leonardo Etor managed to make a qualified save. Deportivo Florida's players were relieved. Ariel Santo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leonardo Etor having to interfere. In the 59th minute of the match, Ariel Santo tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Leonardo Etor saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 64th minute the ball was on its way in behind Deportivo Florida's goalkeeper Leonardo Etor, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Leonardo Etor was out of position in the 66 minute of play, and Ariel Santo capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Ariel Santo really showed his touch with that goal: 0-5. 71 minutes into the match, Deportivo Florida's goal looked a bit too open when Jaime Gar came free, but Leonardo Etor reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Ariel Santo kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Leonardo Etor. That made the score 0-6 in the 73 minute of play. Leonardo Etor stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ariel Santo's shot from short distance in the 76th minute. After 84 played minutes Portugalete AFC got a freekick which was hit by Teodoro Leoiar. In the 87th minute Ariel Santo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leonardo Etor saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 90th minute the ball was on its way in behind Deportivo Florida's goalkeeper Leonardo Etor, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Rolando Urtsin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Portugalete AFC played a much better game than Deportivo Florida and deserved their victory. The Deportivo Florida players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
