The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When Victoriano Escobar came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the Deportivo Florida fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Victoriano Escobar couldn't finish the play. Patricio Guillelmo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Evelio Unai, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 58 minutes, Faustino Jurdan mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Pulpera FC and the Deportivo Florida players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Pulpera FC getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Faustino Jurdan hit a great ball. In the 61st minute, Hector Ellande left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Pulpera FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. After a rather tough play, Pulpera FC's Faustino Jurdan got a free kick in the 64th minute. Victoriano Escobar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Ubaldo Blasco fell near the penalty area in the 71st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Pulpera FC's protests and gave Ubaldo Blasco a yellow card for diving instead. If Rolando Urtsin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Rodrigo Manny came up free with the goalie in the 79th minute, the Pulpera FC fans jumped to their feet.
