After some fancy dribbling in the 24th minute, Anastasio Eneto managed to get in a good position for a shot. Santiago FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Anastasio Eneto was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Severino Sauveur breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 30th minute, Romulo Bernat left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Santiago FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. With a little luck, Santiago FC's David Eyague got control of the ball when Armando Aguirre tried to sneak it across the goal line. Armando Aguirre received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. David Eyague tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Zubiaurre FC's Santo Lluterio got a free kick in the 41st minute. Zubiaurre FC's Severino Sauveur played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Romulo Bernat in the 44th minute of play. Edelmiro Cibran fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without David Eyague having to interfere. Zubiaurre FC's Edelmiro Cibran got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.

After having played for 52 minutes, Edelmiro Cibran managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Zubiaurre FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Edelmiro Cibran was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some careless play in the Santiago FC defense, Armando Aguirre kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of David Eyague. The Santiago FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that David Eyague should have stopped the shot. 57 minutes into the match, Santiago FC's goal looked a bit too open when Edelmiro Cibran came free, but David Eyague reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Zubiaurre FC's Severino Sauveur got control of the ball when Alejandro Giraldo tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 60 played minutes Santiago FC got a freekick which was hit by Ezequiel Vigil. In the 66th match minute, Zubiaurre FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Santo Lluterio to maneuver through the defense. In the 68th minute, Santiago FC's Anastasio Eneto dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-2. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alejandro Giraldo got free with Severino Sauveur in the 75th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Herminio Urbes kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. David Eyague made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Armando Aguirre in the 77th minute of play. When Primitivo Etxatxu fell near the penalty area in the 79th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Santiago FC's protests and gave Primitivo Etxatxu a yellow card for diving instead. In the 78th minute, one of Santiago FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Santiago FC. Severino Sauveur showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anastasio Eneto in the 86th minute of the match. David Eyague took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eloy Filipo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Zubiaurre FC's Severino Sauveur got control of the ball when Alejandro Giraldo tried to sneak it across the goal line. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
