Silvio Gregory made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. 19 minutes into the match, Nemesio Nafarroa had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Silvio Gregory. Malanzán FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Nemesio Nafarroa was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. If Ignacio Dalmai had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 26th minute, Nemesio Nafarroa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Silvio Gregory showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nemesio Nafarroa in the 27th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fernando Damario got free with Eleuterio Erdiano in the 34th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Roberto Oidor sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Teofilo Rainerio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Silvio Gregory tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 41st minute of the match Rosendo Platon sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Silvio Gregory skillfully saved the ball. Eleuterio Erdiano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Martin Gaizkine in the 42nd minute of the match. Silvio Gregory took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nemesio Nafarroa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match clock showed 46 minutes, the score became 0-3 when Teofilo Rainerio sped through Malanzán FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Silvio Gregory. After the first half borussia dortmund were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Martin Gaizkine made the kick off in the second half. Silvio Gregory was a little too slow when Nemesio Nafarroa got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 52nd minute. The score was now 0-4. In the 55th minute, borussia dortmund's Ignacio Dalmai ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Silvio Gregory. Silvio Gregory yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-5. borussia dortmund's Guillermo Jeraldo got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Nemesio Nafarroas short, quick shot in the 63rdth minute got Silvio Gregory to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Hector Abadie's late challenge caught a borussia dortmund's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hector Abadie helped the player get up and apologised. After 64 played minutes Malanzán FC got a freekick which was hit by Hector Abadie. Silvio Gregory was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 65th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Rosendo Platon. After some fancy dribbling in the 66th minute, Roberto Oidor managed to get in a good position for a shot. borussia dortmund's supporters rose to their feet, but Roberto Oidor was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Silvio Gregory breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Roberto Oidor struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. Silvio Gregory didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for borussia dortmund. borussia dortmund's Roberto Oidor got a good chance for a goal in the 74th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 78th minute, Ignacio Dalmai reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Silvio Gregory. The goal made the score 0-6. Nemesio Nafarroa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Silvio Gregory having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Malanzán FC's zone, Nemesio Nafarroa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Silvio Gregory came out of the goal and Nemesio Nafarroa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ignacio Dalmai received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Silvio Gregory tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Teofilo Rainerio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nemesio Nafarroa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 97th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the match was over borussia dortmund could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Malanzán FC throughout the match.
