After a rather tough play, Manchester United's Rigoberto Matthew got a free kick in the 23rd minute. With a little luck, Manchester United's Yuri Hoffmann got control of the ball when Pastor Berenguer tried to sneak it across the goal line. Pastor Berenguer struck a weak shot in the 30th minute. Yuri Hoffmann didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Monteverde. Anibal Iaki blasted a shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Camilo Sarracino having to make a save. Rogelio Silviano kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. Diogo Galvão recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With his leg Yuri Hoffmann managed to avoid a goal in the 42ndth minute, when Monteverde's Pastor Berenguer fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. During the 43rd minute of the match Rigoberto Matthew completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Rigoberto Matthew a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 44th match minute, Manchester United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rigoberto Matthew to maneuver through the defense. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Isaac Endira made a kick off. Yuri Hoffmann took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Erubiel Ted, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played with Monteverde's defense Diogo Galvão in the 76th minute fired away a shot at goal just outside the top left corner. A bit more spin and it would have been a certain goal. A sloppy throw-in by Mauricio Checa in the 78th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Manchester United's Anibal Iaki. Teodoro Maurino made in the 81st minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Manchester United's Carmelo Matei. Carmelo Matei fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Camilo Sarracino having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Diogo Galvão during the 85th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 86 played minutes Manchester United got a freekick which was hit by Diogo Galvão. Yuri Hoffmann made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pastor Berenguer in the 88th minute of play. 93 minutes into the match, Rafael Pitin notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Manchester United's Yuri Hoffmann. Yuri Hoffmann was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Monteverde's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
