Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Erubiel Ted in the 4th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Joaquin Gonzo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Dragon Azzurro FC's Joaquin Gonzo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Erubiel Ted in the 7th minute of play. Erubiel Ted recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 9th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 10th match minute, Dragon Azzurro FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Paulo Rocendo to maneuver through the defense. In the 11th minute, Erubiel Ted got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Pastor Berenguer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joaquin Gonzo having to interfere. The supporters of Monteverde booed when Dragon Azzurro FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Enrique Eleder didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dragon Azzurro FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Evelio Garci was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Rogelio Silviano hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. Camilo Sarracino came out of the goal in the 23rd minute to try and stop a shot by Dragon Azzurro FC's Emiliano Rudolfo. But to his dismay, Emiliano Rudolfo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Dragon Azzurro FC's Filomeno Gipuzkoa was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 26th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. 34 minutes into the game, Pastor Berenguer cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Joaquin Gonzo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Joaquin Gonzo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Pastor Berenguer's shot from short distance in the 38th minute. After having played for 43 minutes, Pastor Berenguer managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Monteverde's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pastor Berenguer was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Erubiel Ted sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Joaquin Gonzo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Erubiel Ted in the 47th minute of the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Evelio Garci to make the kick off. Erubiel Ted sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 63rd minute, Pastor Berenguer fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Monteverde's Erubiel Ted got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Joaquin Gonzo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Pastor Berenguer in the 65th minute. Joaquin Gonzo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Erubiel Ted's shot from short distance in the 67th minute. When Pastor Berenguer came up free with the goalie in the 68th minute, the Monteverde fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pastor Berenguer couldn't finish the play. In the 73rdth minute of the game Erubiel Ted who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Dragon Azzurro FC's Joaquin Gonzo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Dario Santio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Joaquin Gonzo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Dragon Azzurro FC's Joaquin Gonzo got control of the ball when Pastor Berenguer tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 85th minute, Erubiel Ted managed to get in a good position for a shot. Monteverde's supporters rose to their feet, but Erubiel Ted was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Joaquin Gonzo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the match had gone on for 89 minutes, Erubiel Ted put it in 2-3 from a short distance just to the right of Joaquin Gonzo.
