An unexpectedly hard shot by Ernesto Nalo in the 12th minute of play forced KONAMI's goalkeeper Cai Xiong Hao to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sovieticos F.C's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Alfredo Di Stéfano in the 13th minute. Sovieticos F.C's Alfredo Di Stéfano was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Cai Xiong Hao in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Ruperto Estevez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fidel Playo, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. If Albano Garoa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Albano Garoa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cai Xiong Hao having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Albano Garoa got free with Cai Xiong Hao in the 31st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 42 minutes into the match, Sovieticos F.C's Ernesto Nalo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Cai Xiong Hao narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Aldo Iratxo charged in rather forcefully in the 45th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Aldo Iratxo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 45 played minutes KONAMI got a freekick which was hit by Aldo Iratxo. Alfredo Di Stéfano took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 46th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Cai Xiong Hao. KONAMI's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

After having played for 52 minutes, Rene Lidon managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. KONAMI's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rene Lidon was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 54 played minutes Sovieticos F.C got a freekick which was hit by Albano Garoa. KONAMI's Cai Xiong Hao played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Albano Garoa in the 58th minute of play. 59 minutes into the game, Sovieticos F.C's Albano Garoa nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Cai Xiong Hao made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Cai Xiong Hao made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ernesto Nalo in the 77th minute of play.
