Through an outstanding action, after 8 minutes, Anselmo Quintan successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Celso Cilio made in the 12th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Eusebio Peio however managed to control. Eusebio Peio took the ball and in the 16 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ruperto Estevez. Ruperto Estevez dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. In the 22nd minute of the match, Ernesto Nalo tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Anselmo Quintan saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Ruperto Estevez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eusebio Peio in the 26th minute of play. If Teobaldo Silviano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 34 minutes into the match, Fusion FS's goal looked a bit too open when Ernesto Nalo came free, but Anselmo Quintan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Sovieticos F.C's zone, Teobaldo Silviano stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ruperto Estevez came out of the goal and Teobaldo Silviano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Anselmo Quintan stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ernesto Nalo's shot from short distance in the 38th minute. Jose Gentza hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Eusebio Peio to make the kick off. After 51 minutes of play, Sovieticos F.C's Ernesto Nalo made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. After some fancy dribbling in the 67th minute, Eusebio Peio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Fusion FS's supporters rose to their feet, but Eusebio Peio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ruperto Estevez breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the match clock showed 72 minutes, the score became 4-1 when Ernesto Nalo sped through Fusion FS's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Anselmo Quintan. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ernesto Nalo in the 75th minute of play forced Fusion FS's goalkeeper Anselmo Quintan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Sovieticos F.C's Loren Goycoa got a free kick in the 76th minute. With 82 minutes on the clock, Enrique Romo commited a dangerous tackle.
