Ruperto Nofre hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. 14 minutes into the match, Chipiscu FC's goal looked a bit too open when Francisco Elazar came free, but Melquiades Harriet reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 20 minutes, Haroldo Gasteiz mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Chipiscu FC and the Canibal PR players grew even worse after the yellow card. After some careless play in the Chipiscu FC defense, Francisco Elazar kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Melquiades Harriet. The Chipiscu FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Melquiades Harriet should have stopped the shot. In the 35th minute, Francisco Elazar left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Canibal PR fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. Melquiades Harriet took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Segundo Acosta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Canibal PR's Namık Kemal Tosun proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 43rd minute of the match, managed to save Canibal PR from getting a goal against them. Francisco Elazar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Melquiades Harriet having to interfere. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Cristo Bras made a kick off. Melquiades Harriet took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tadeo Galtero, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 56 minutes, Segundo Acosta mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Canibal PR and the Chipiscu FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Segundo Acosta hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. Segundo Acosta received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Melquiades Harriet came out and tried to block the shot, but Segundo Acosta slotted it home off the left post making it 0-4 in the 59th minute. With a little luck, Chipiscu FC's Melquiades Harriet got control of the ball when Francisco Elazar tried to sneak it across the goal line. Melquiades Harriet made a fantastic save in the 65th minute, when Francisco Elazar sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of Canibal PR booed when Chipiscu FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Victorio Cambranes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Melquiades Harriet was out of position in the 67 minute of play, and Segundo Acosta capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Segundo Acosta really showed his touch with that goal: 0-5. Melquiades Harriet showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Segundo Acosta, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Victorio Cambranes in the 76th minute of play forced Canibal PR's goalkeeper Namık Kemal Tosun to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Francisco Elazar who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 87thth minute tested the skills of Melquiades Harriet when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Tadeo Galtero's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Melquiades Harriet read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 91st minute of play.
