The audience was convinced that Ramon Emmanuel's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Zeledon Rivas was relentless in the 3rd minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ramon Emmanuel in the 6th minute of play forced SPortivo Moretti's goalkeeper Zeledon Rivas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Iker Oihan made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mariano Loren in the 8th minute. An unexpected shot in the 12th minute by Mariano Loren got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. After 18 minutes of play, Fray Luis Beltrán's Eliseo Henrico made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Zeledon Rivas was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Ramon Emmanuel in the 25th minute of play forced SPortivo Moretti's goalkeeper Zeledon Rivas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 27th minute of the match Eliseo Henrico shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Zeledon Rivas showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Ramon Emmanuel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Zeledon Rivas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Ciro Balasi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ramon Emmanuel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zeledon Rivas having to interfere. Zeledon Rivas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ramon Emmanuel in the 39th minute of play. SPortivo Moretti's Zeledon Rivas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ciro Balasi in the 46th minute of play.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Mariano Loren to strike the kick off in the second half. After 52 minutes, Paco Gerlen mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Fray Luis Beltrán and the SPortivo Moretti players grew even worse after the yellow card. Paco Gerlen hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in SPortivo Moretti's zone, Ramon Emmanuel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zeledon Rivas came out of the goal and Ramon Emmanuel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 55th minute, Fray Luis Beltrán's Eliseo Henrico dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-2. In the 58th minute, Mariano Loren hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 62 minutes into the game, Aquiles Gorbea was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Fray Luis Beltrán's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SPortivo Moretti the free kick. In the 62nd minute, Aquiles Gorbea hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. SPortivo Moretti's Zeledon Rivas proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 64th minute of the match, managed to save SPortivo Moretti from getting a goal against them. 68 minutes into the game, Ciro Balasi recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Zeledon Rivas. Ciro Balasi showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-3. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Eliseo Henrico in the 71st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Zeledon Rivas saved SPortivo Moretti from getting behind. After 73 minutes of play Fray Luis Beltrán's Aquiles Gorbea was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 74th match minute, Fray Luis Beltrán was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aquiles Gorbea to maneuver through the defense. Fray Luis Beltrán's Ciro Balasi was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 78th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. With 82 minutes on the clock, Silvio Fonso commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. SPortivo Moretti:s Zeledon Rivas showed great skill when he stopped Paco Gerlen:s penalty. The crowd rose to their feet as Ciro Balasi kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Zeledon Rivas. That made the score 0-5 in the 89 minute of play. When Ciro Balasi came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the Fray Luis Beltrán fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ciro Balasi couldn't finish the play. When the match was over Fray Luis Beltrán could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than SPortivo Moretti throughout the match.
