Racing Club's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The supporters of Los churrasquitos booed when Racing Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gaspar Benvide didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Luciano Admon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luciano Admon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Arnoldo Stanislao in the 40th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Urbano Lauro saved Los churrasquitos from getting behind. 41 minutes into the match, Los churrasquitos's goal looked a bit too open when Arnoldo Stanislao came free, but Urbano Lauro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Andres Bidun received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Silvestre Cordareo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Arnoldo Stanislao to make the kick off. Christian Camerino charged in rather forcefully in the 52nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Christian Camerino the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Andres Bidun recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Tomas Salvadore during the 62nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 62nd match minute, Racing Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tomas Salvadore to maneuver through the defense. Carmelo Evarado kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. In the 64th minute, Teodoro Cugat sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Racing Club's Silvestre Cordareo didn't even have to move. Alonzo Theodore received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Urbano Lauro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Arnoldo Stanislao blasted a shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Urbano Lauro having to make a save. In the 72nd match minute, Racing Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Christian Camerino to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Arnoldo Stanislao's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Urbano Lauro was relentless in the 83rd minute of the game. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Gaspar Benvide managed to get in a good position for a shot. Racing Club's supporters rose to their feet, but Gaspar Benvide was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Urbano Lauro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Tomas Salvadore got his second yellow card in the match during the 88th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Los churrasquitos's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Arnoldo Stanislao 94 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-2. The Racing Club supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Racing Club would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
