Martin Rivas's late challenge caught a Gaypón FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. In the 32nd minute of the match Narciso Abeijon shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Lucas Tolino showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Gregorio Ortle fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lucas Tolino having to interfere. Lucas Tolino took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ildefonso Claude, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Gaypón FC's Eliseo Manex got control of the ball when Esteban Azevedo tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Ildefonso Claude came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the Gaypón FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ildefonso Claude couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in MDQ MAX's zone, Gregorio Ortle stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lucas Tolino came out of the goal and Gregorio Ortle tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Igor Luzea charged in rather forcefully in the 48th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Igor Luzea the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 48th match minute, MDQ MAX was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Igor Luzea to maneuver through the defense. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Benigno Montrell stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Gaypón FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gregorio Ortle was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in MDQ MAX's zone, Ildefonso Claude stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lucas Tolino came out of the goal and Ildefonso Claude tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 60 minutes into the match, Gaypón FC's goal looked a bit too open when Esteban Azevedo came free, but Eliseo Manex reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Eliseo Manex showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcial Iratze in the 63rd minute of the match. MDQ MAX's Lucas Tolino proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 67th minute of the match, managed to save MDQ MAX from getting a goal against them. Gaypón FC's Eliseo Manex played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benigno Montrell in the 69th minute of play. Gregorio Ted charged in rather forcefully in the 70th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gregorio Ted the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play.
