After 44 minutes of play, C.A.Usina's Ernesto Roland made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Chicão de Queiroz was left in no man's land by his defense there! After the first half C.A.Usina were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Club atlético sacachispas's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Basilio Tomi in the 54th minute. The corner led Club atlético sacachispas's Basilio Tomi to fire away a dangerous shot which Eulalio Santikurtz despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Club atlético sacachispas. The goalkeeper, Chicão de Queiroz, was totally fooled by C.A.Usina's Eriberto Guib, who 75 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Club atlético sacachispas's Chicão de Queiroz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 78th minute of the match, managed to save Club atlético sacachispas from getting a goal against them. If Ernesto Roland had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 89 minutes into the match, Club atlético sacachispas's goalkeeper Chicão de Queiroz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ernesto Roland.
