Serafino Lope took the ball and in the 6 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gaspar Geofredo. Gaspar Geofredo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. San Lorenzo de Haedo's Gaspar Geofredo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 9th minute of the match, managed to save San Lorenzo de Haedo from getting a goal against them. Ovidio Fero received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Gaspar Geofredo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 20th minute Serafino Lope shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gaspar Geofredo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of San Telmo booed when San Lorenzo de Haedo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Juan Isusko didn't get a good kick on the ball. The throw-in from Casimiro Arias in the 25th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by San Telmo's Tadeo Arixo. After having played for 27 minutes, Norberto Montrell managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. San Telmo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Norberto Montrell was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Ovidio Fero came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the San Telmo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ovidio Fero couldn't finish the play. Segundo Belarmo got his second yellow card in the match during the 31st minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. After having played for 35 minutes, Serafino Lope managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Serafino Lope fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gaspar Geofredo having to interfere. Gaspar Geofredo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ovidio Fero in the 44th minute. An unexpected shot in the 47th minute by Ovidio Fero got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ovidio Fero was the one to do the kick off. 51 minutes into the match, San Lorenzo de Haedo's goal looked a bit too open when Norberto Montrell came free, but Gaspar Geofredo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Serafino Lope's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gaspar Geofredo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 86th minute of play. If Ovidio Fero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Paulo Gipuzkoa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Serafino Lope had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Felipe Baleren kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Serafino Lope managed to get in a good position for a shot.
