San Telmo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Paulo Gipuzkoa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Club atlético sacachispas's Chicão de Queiroz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 6th minute of the match, managed to save Club atlético sacachispas from getting a goal against them. The throw-in from Eleuterio Arixo in the 10th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Club atlético sacachispas's Octavio Marques. 13 minutes into the match, Apolo Gabino had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Fabian Mouricio. San Telmo's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Apolo Gabino was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Ovidio Fero could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 18th minute of the match, but Chicão de Queiroz made a huge save. The throw-in from Norberto Montrell in the 21st minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Club atlético sacachispas's Benito Dodorol. Apolo Gabino recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 25th minute, Serafino Lope managed to get in a good position for a shot. San Telmo's supporters rose to their feet, but Serafino Lope was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Chicão de Queiroz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 26th match minute, Club atlético sacachispas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Octavio Marques to maneuver through the defense. Fabian Mouricio didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Apolo Gabino went, in the 28th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Serafino Lope sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ovidio Fero sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Serafino Lope received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Chicão de Queiroz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to San Telmo getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Serafino Lope hit a great ball. San Telmo's Fabian Mouricio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Apolo Gabino in the 45th minute of play. After the first half Club atlético sacachispas were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ovidio Fero stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ovidio Fero recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 51st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ovidio Fero sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Club atlético sacachispas's Basilio Tomi shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 58th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Fabian Mouricio but with some difficulty. Fabian Mouricio made an important save on a dangerous shot by Apolo Gabino in the 62nd minute. Ovidio Fero might have been able to make a better finish in the 64th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Chicão de Queiroz. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ovidio Fero ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 66th minute of the game Norberto Montrell made a throw-in which Ovidio Fero played forward. The supporters of San Telmo booed when Club atlético sacachispas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Justino Laurendi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fabian Mouricio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Apolo Gabino in the 68th minute of the match. In the 69th minute, Serafino Lope left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The San Telmo fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. Serafino Lope received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Chicão de Queiroz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Chicão de Queiroz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Serafino Lope, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Paulo Gipuzkoa struck a weak shot in the 78th minute. Chicão de Queiroz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for San Telmo. Serafino Lope kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. Serafino Lope fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Chicão de Queiroz having to interfere. If Serafino Lope had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Chicão de Queiroz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Serafino Lope in the 91st minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Serafino Lope in the 96th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Chicão de Queiroz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Chants of Club atlético sacachispas echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as San Telmo had held the ball for most of the match.
