Cavalango's Octavio Taurino tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Octavio Taurino stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Lino Hermon's shot from short distance in the 14th minute. Guido Franco blasted a shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Octavio Taurino having to make a save. Octavio Taurino made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Guido Franco in the 22nd minute of play. In the 26th minute of the match Holger Quiñones sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Octavio Taurino skillfully saved the ball. Joaquin Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Niceto Sarracino having to interfere. Ruperto Naldo scored 0-3 in the 31st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Octavio Taurino, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 38thth minute of the game Lino Hermon who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cavalango's Octavio Taurino was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 43rd minute, Guido Franco made a precise shot to the right of Octavio Taurino. Cavalango's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-5. Luisito Tristan kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. Disappointed in the 0-5 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Maximo Urtun made a kick off. After having played for 54 minutes, Lino Hermon managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gramilla's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lino Hermon was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Cavalango's Luisito Tristan got a free kick in the 56th minute. Gramilla's Guido Franco got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Lino Hermon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Guido Franco's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Octavio Taurino was relentless in the 69th minute of the game. After some careless play in the Cavalango defense, Ruben Henry kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Octavio Taurino. The Cavalango fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Octavio Taurino should have stopped the shot. Octavio Taurino was a little too slow when Ruperto Naldo got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 73rd minute. The score was now 0-7. A hard shot 77 in the game by Ruben Henry from a close distance when the talented Octavio Taurino managed to make a qualified save. Cavalango's players were relieved. In the 78th minute, Gramilla's Guido Franco ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Octavio Taurino. Octavio Taurino yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-8. In the 88th minute the ball was on its way in behind Gramilla's goalkeeper Niceto Sarracino, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Guido Franco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Octavio Taurino made a fantastic save in the 92nd minute, when Lino Hermon sent off a good shot on target. Gramilla's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
