Clayton Clayton was a little too slow when Domingos Librado got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 20th minute. The score was now 3-0. C.A. Sporting's Clayton Clayton proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 23rd minute of the match, managed to save C.A. Sporting from getting a goal against them. Ildefonso Vitin took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 26th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Clayton Clayton. C.A. Sporting's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Sporting booed when Deportivo Tangie was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Honorio Roano didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Leonel Demesio came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the C.A. Sporting fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Leonel Demesio couldn't finish the play. If Leonel Demesio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Domingos Librado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-0 at half-time.

C.A. Sporting's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Domingos Librado was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 8-0. Clayton Clayton took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Domingos Librado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Deportivo Tangie walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
