Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Zeledon Lorenz's late challenge caught a Babilonia AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Zeledon Lorenz helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Deportivo Residentes getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Zeledon Lorenz hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Florencio Baldovino got free with Ceferino Gustau in the 30th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 33 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Babilonia AFC! Erubiel Llorienzo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edgard Birjaio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Erubiel Llorienzo showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 46th match minute, Babilonia AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcial Chayo to maneuver through the defense. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Marcial Chayo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Babilonia AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Marcial Chayo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ceferino Gustau breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience was convinced that Marcial Chayo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ceferino Gustau was relentless in the 88th minute of the game.
