Horacio Estefan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 14 minutes into the game, Tomás Eron was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Dúrham's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave C. A. Jaguares del Sur the free kick. After 14 played minutes Dúrham got a freekick which was hit by Tomás Eron. Silvestre Maties didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Teobaldo Oxel went, in the 16th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Victoriano Tabb in the 19thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Horacio Estefan, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After 20 played minutes C. A. Jaguares del Sur got a freekick which was hit by Elias Ulizes. The audience thought a goal was coming when Elias Ulizes got free with Horacio Estefan in the 23rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Horacio Estefan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Florentino Mundo in the 27th minute of the match. Dúrham's Horacio Estefan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Victoriano Tabb in the 30th minute of play. 34 minutes into the match, Tomás Eron notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of C. A. Jaguares del Sur's Silvestre Maties. Silvestre Maties was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 36 minutes into the game, Emilio Hodei was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Aristides Dimo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Horacio Estefan having to make a save. After a rather tough play, Dúrham's Tomás Eron got a free kick in the 38th minute. With a little luck, Dúrham's Horacio Estefan got control of the ball when Victoriano Tabb tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 45th match minute, C. A. Jaguares del Sur was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Victoriano Tabb to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 47th minute, Emilio Telesforo managed to get in a good position for a shot. C. A. Jaguares del Sur's supporters rose to their feet, but Emilio Telesforo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Horacio Estefan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.
The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ciro Garikoitz during the 51st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Dúrham booed when C. A. Jaguares del Sur was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ciro Garikoitz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Silvestre Sanchez's late challenge caught a C. A. Jaguares del Sur's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Silvestre Sanchez helped the player get up and apologised. In the 52nd minute, Silvestre Sanchez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 56th minute, Florentino Mundo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Horacio Estefan was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. In the 59th minute Florentino Mundo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Horacio Estefan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 60 minutes into the match, Aristides Dimo notched a goal, 2-3, to the right of Dúrham's Horacio Estefan. Horacio Estefan was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Silvestre Sanchez in the 63rd minute of play forced C. A. Jaguares del Sur's goalkeeper Silvestre Maties to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match had gone on for 66 minutes, Tomás Eron took a quick shot and it went in 2-4 without a chance for Silvestre Maties to make any attempt to save it. C. A. Jaguares del Sur made a substitution. Cristobal Millan replaced Florentino Mundo. Horacio Estefan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emilio Telesforo in the 77th minute of the match. With 79 minutes on the clock, Emilio Hodei commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. After 78 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Dúrham! The throw-in from Ciro Garikoitz in the 83rd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Dúrham's Conrado Tibalt. 84 minutes into the game, Silvestre Sanchez cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-6. Silvestre Maties was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Dúrham's Horacio Estefan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Victoriano Tabb in the 87th minute of play. The Dúrham supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Dúrham would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
