Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Fausto Udalaitz started the match with the kick off. In the 5th minute the ball was on its way in behind C.A River Plate's goalkeeper Ruben Sugoi, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Sergio Aznar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Sergio Aznar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Eustacio Abeijon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Sola's Fausto Udalaitz in the 12th minute got a chance for a shot 12th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye C.A River Plate's goalie prevented a goal. In the 15th minute, Sola's Fausto Udalaitz dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. 18 minutes into the match, Sola's goal looked a bit too open when Eliseo Eutropio came free, but Eustacio Abeijon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Miguel Gilabert during the 19th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Miguel Gilabert hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. Sergio Aznar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Eustacio Abeijon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 23rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Sola's goalkeeper Eustacio Abeijon, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Sergio Aznar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eustacio Abeijon having to interfere. Severo Baldovino took the ball and in the 33 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ruben Sugoi. Ruben Sugoi dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. After some careless play in the Sola defense, Eliseo Eutropio kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Eustacio Abeijon. The Sola fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Eustacio Abeijon should have stopped the shot. The supporters of C.A River Plate booed when Sola was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 48 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dario Confesor didn't get a good kick on the ball. Eliseo Eutropio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 50th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Sergio Aznar was the one to do the kick off. In the 55thth minute of the game Sergio Aznar who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sola's Eustacio Abeijon was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 57th minute Fausto Udalaitz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ruben Sugoi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Fausto Udalaitz in the 59th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ruben Sugoi prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With 60 minutes on the clock, Feliciano Sendoa commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In the 60th minute, one of Sola:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Sola. When the match had been going on for 62 minutes, C.A River Plate's Angelino Avellaneda got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Eustacio Abeijon. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Eliseo Eutropio during the 66th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 66th match minute, C.A River Plate was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eliseo Eutropio to maneuver through the defense. Eliseo Eutropio struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. Eustacio Abeijon didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for C.A River Plate. Eliseo Eutropio's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 73rdth minute, Eustacio Abeijon skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 74th minute, Valentin Galindo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sergio Aznar in the 78th minute of play forced Sola's goalkeeper Eustacio Abeijon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sola's Eustacio Abeijon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sergio Aznar in the 79th minute of play. When Severo Baldovino came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the Sola fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Severo Baldovino couldn't finish the play. Eustacio Abeijon made an important save on a dangerous shot by Eliseo Eutropio in the 85th minute. Eliseo Eutropio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 91 minutes into the match, Sola's goal looked a bit too open when Sergio Aznar came free, but Eustacio Abeijon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Severo Baldovino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Valentin Galindo during the 93rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Ruben Sugoi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Severo Baldovino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 98 minutes into the match, Sergio Aznar notched a goal, 2-3, to the right of Sola's Eustacio Abeijon. Eustacio Abeijon was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Sergio Aznar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 101st minute. Eustacio Abeijon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The C.A River Plate players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
