Hermengildo Roland took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sergio Aznar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in C.A River Plate's zone, Siro Palben stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ruben Sugoi came out of the goal and Siro Palben tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Leon Senio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 15 played minutes C.A River Plate got a freekick which was hit by Adolfo Torres. Leon Senio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ruben Sugoi having to interfere. 21 minutes into the game, Valentin Galindo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. C.A River Plate's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Real Ameritos Balompié the free kick. In the 21st minute, Valentin Galindo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Natalio Gorka had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. A collision led to C.A River Plate getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Teodoro Fernanco hit a great ball. Hermengildo Roland made an important save on a dangerous shot by Eliseo Eutropio in the 32nd minute. In the 35th minute, Leon Senio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 37 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for C.A River Plate! After a defensive mix-up in C.A River Plate's zone, Siro Palben stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Siro Palben recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.

The wind increased when Sergio Aznar made the kick off in the second half. Valentin Galindo struck a weak shot in the 63rd minute. Hermengildo Roland didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for C.A River Plate. Eliseo Eutropio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hermengildo Roland having to interfere. C.A River Plate's Sergio Aznar got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With his leg Ruben Sugoi managed to avoid a goal in the 71stth minute, when Real Ameritos Balompié's Leon Senio fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Siro Palben fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ruben Sugoi having to interfere. 74 minutes into the match, Real Ameritos Balompié's Leon Senio sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ruben Sugoi narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 88 minutes into the match, Real Ameritos Balompié's goal looked a bit too open when Sergio Aznar came free, but Hermengildo Roland reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Leon Senio got free with Ruben Sugoi in the 91st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Faustino Roderigo during the 93rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Real Ameritos Balompié getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Faustino Roderigo hit a great ball. After 96 minutes of play, C.A River Plate's Sergio Aznar made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Hermengildo Roland was left in no man's land by his defense there! The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
