Jonathan Curcio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sergio Aznar in the 3rd minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Americo Manex during the 8th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Ruiz AFC's Americo Manex got a free kick in the 8th minute. Eleuterio Dimas hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. Ruben Sugoi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Elpidio Tiso, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. C.A River Plate's Ruben Sugoi proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 19th minute of the match, managed to save C.A River Plate from getting a goal against them. After having played for 21 minutes, Eliseo Eutropio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. C.A River Plate's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eliseo Eutropio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 21 minutes into the game, Domingo Casado was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ruiz AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave C.A River Plate the free kick. In the 22nd minute, Domingo Casado hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 25th match minute, Ruiz AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aaron Flor to maneuver through the defense. Eliseo Eutropio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Curcio having to interfere. Ruiz AFC's Jonathan Curcio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sergio Aznar in the 28th minute of play. C.A River Plate's Sergio Aznar got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 34 played minutes Ruiz AFC got a freekick which was hit by Aaron Flor. 35 minutes into the match, Ruiz AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Eliseo Eutropio came free, but Jonathan Curcio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Valentin Galindo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Jonathan Curcio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jonathan Curcio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sergio Aznar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 45th minute, Sergio Aznar ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jonathan Curcio was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. After the first half C.A River Plate were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Sergio Aznar made a kick off. Eliseo Eutropio hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. A collision led to C.A River Plate getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Angelino Avellaneda hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Elpidio Tiso in the 60th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ruben Sugoi prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Eliseo Eutropio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Jonathan Curcio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 70th play minute Eliseo Eutropio came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Jonathan Curcio. 0-2. When C.A River Plate's Sergio Aznar in the 74th minute got a chance for a shot 74th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ruiz AFC's goalie prevented a goal. In the 75th minute C.A River Plate were awarded a corner. Angelino Avellaneda went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Angelino Avellaneda got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Jonathan Curcio quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Jonathan Curcio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sergio Aznar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 78th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ruiz AFC's goalkeeper Jonathan Curcio, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The long shot by Alfredo Oihenarte in the 80th minute really tested Jonathan Curcio's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. After 84 played minutes Ruiz AFC got a freekick which was hit by Domingo Casado. C.A River Plate's Ruben Sugoi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tobias Selatse in the 91st minute of play. C.A River Plate played a much better game than Ruiz AFC and deserved their victory. The Ruiz AFC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
