The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Florentino Mosen during the 9th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Güemes FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 9th minute. Penalty! Hilario Roderigo struck a weak shot in the 15th minute. Eustacio Abeijon didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Güemes FC. Eustacio Abeijon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arnaldo Licerio in the 21st minute of the match. In the 22nd match minute, Sola was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Miguel Gilabert to maneuver through the defense. In the 23rd minute, Hilario Roderigo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 27 minutes into the match, Sola's goal looked a bit too open when Arnaldo Licerio came free, but Eustacio Abeijon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Güemes FC booed when Sola was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aquiles Ostargi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Horacio Resto hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. Severo Baldovino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Wilfredo Montrelle tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Severo Baldovino recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Wilfredo Montrelle took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fausto Udalaitz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Güemes FC defense, Fausto Udalaitz kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Wilfredo Montrelle. The Güemes FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Wilfredo Montrelle should have stopped the shot. After having played for 45 minutes, Hilario Roderigo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Güemes FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hilario Roderigo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Arnaldo Licerio to make the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Fausto Udalaitz in the 53rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Wilfredo Montrelle prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to Güemes FC getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Horacio Resto hit a great ball. In the 55th match minute, Sola was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fausto Udalaitz to maneuver through the defense. In the 55th minute, Fausto Udalaitz fired away a hard free kick towards the goal. Wilfredo Montrelle moved to his left, but didn't have to make a save as the ball went out of bounds. In the 59th minute, Dario Confesor hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 62 played minutes Güemes FC got a freekick which was hit by Horacio Resto. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jeronimo Mincho during the 65th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. When Hilario Roderigo came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the Güemes FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hilario Roderigo couldn't finish the play. Fausto Udalaitz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Sola's Miguel Gilabert got a free kick in the 72nd minute. Santiago Quentin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Eustacio Abeijon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Severo Baldovino in the 77th minute of play forced Güemes FC's goalkeeper Wilfredo Montrelle to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Güemes FC defense, Fausto Udalaitz kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Wilfredo Montrelle. The Güemes FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Wilfredo Montrelle should have stopped the shot. Fausto Udalaitz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Güemes FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
