With an all-out effort, Gerli FC's 任铮昆 threw himself towards the right post 6 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Gavino Quico, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 11 minutes into the match, Lions Xion's goalkeeper 任铮昆 had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Natalio Naelio. Leopoldo Chan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marciano Foro having to interfere. Juan Orozco struck a weak shot in the 18th minute. Marciano Foro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lions Xion. Alfred Charlos hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. In the 20th minute Gavino Quico shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but 任铮昆 saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The corner led Gerli FC's Karol Przebendowski to fire away a dangerous shot which 任铮昆 despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Marciano Foro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Juan Orozco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Haroldo Pacho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 36th minute Ezequiel González shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but 任铮昆 saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 任铮昆 made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gavino Quico in the 41st minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Juan Orozco was the one to do the kick off. 53 minutes into the game, Natalio Naelio cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. 任铮昆 was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Natalio Naelio took the ball and in the 56 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised 任铮昆. 任铮昆 dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. After some careless play in the Lions Xion defense, Natalio Naelio kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of 任铮昆. The Lions Xion fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that 任铮昆 should have stopped the shot. 79 minutes into the game, Gerli FC's Natalio Naelio nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. 任铮昆 made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-0. 任铮昆 made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Natalio Naelio in the 86th minute of play. Abelardo Perico kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. The Gerli FC fans' excitement grew in the 90th match minute when Gerli FC's Natalio Naelio looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 6-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Gerli FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
