The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ezequiel González during the 21st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Lions Xion booed when Gerli FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ezequiel González didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 31st minute, Natalio Naelio ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. 任铮昆 was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Abelardo Perico made in the 35th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Dalmacio Vela. After 37 played minutes Lions Xion got a freekick which was hit by Anier Damario. If Gavino Quico had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Juan Orozco made a kick off. After some careless play in the Gerli FC defense, Juan Orozco kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Marciano Foro. The Gerli FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marciano Foro should have stopped the shot. Marciano Foro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Juan Orozco, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. Gerli FC's Victoriano Pierres was substituted for Gavino Quico. Natalio Naelio in the 79thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal.
