Guido Maura showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mücahit Ergökmen, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. Niceto Dodorol recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 23rd minute Vladimiro Hever shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jose Manuel Pinto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Paulo Ihazintu hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ivael Tercero to make the kick off. After 96 minutes, Abel Vincente mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the C. A. INDEPENDIENTE and the Atlas pasion players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 96 played minutes C. A. INDEPENDIENTE got a freekick which was hit by Abel Vincente.
