In the 6th minute, Rolando James hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Abelardo Cristofol took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abel Vincente, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 19 minutes into the match, Caspian FC's goal looked a bit too open when Mücahit Ergökmen came free, but Abelardo Cristofol reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mücahit Ergökmen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Abelardo Cristofol tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fabian Jobo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 22nd minute of the match, but Jose Manuel Pinto made a huge save. Mücahit Ergökmen took the ball and in the 29 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Abelardo Cristofol. Abelardo Cristofol dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Jose Manuel Pinto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Erubiel Jobo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 32 minutes into the match, Erubiel Jobo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jose Manuel Pinto. C. A. INDEPENDIENTE's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Erubiel Jobo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. The crowd rose to their feet as Maşallah Abdulkärimov kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Jose Manuel Pinto. That made the score 3-1 in the 37 minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abel Vincente in the 42nd minute of play forced Caspian FC's goalkeeper Abelardo Cristofol to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Abel Vincente in the 42nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Abelardo Cristofol saved Caspian FC from getting behind. The supporters of C. A. INDEPENDIENTE booed when Caspian FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gilberto Rayman didn't get a good kick on the ball. Abel Vincente sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 47th minute, Fabian Jobo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Caspian FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-1. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-1 at half-time.

C. A. INDEPENDIENTE's Jose Manuel Pinto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Erubiel Jobo in the 56th minute of play. Abel Vincente fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abelardo Cristofol having to interfere. Fabian Jobo scored 5-1 in the 63rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jose Manuel Pinto, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a rather tough play, Caspian FC's Maximo Ferrer got a free kick in the 69th minute. Abelardo Cristofol was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Mücahit Ergökmen showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 5-2 in the 72 minute of play. Abel Vincente received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Abelardo Cristofol came out and tried to block the shot, but Abel Vincente slotted it home off the left post making it 5-3 in the 76th minute. C. A. INDEPENDIENTE made a substitution. Hermengildo Paulin replaced Cristobal Urbasa. Mücahit Ergökmen might have been able to make a better finish in the 87th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Abelardo Cristofol. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mücahit Ergökmen ran back to his position shaking his head. C. A. INDEPENDIENTE's Celedonio Lonzo was substituted for Martin Ascencio. After a rather tough play, Caspian FC's Maximo Ferrer got a free kick in the 89th minute. 93 minutes into the match, C. A. INDEPENDIENTE's goal looked a bit too open when Maşallah Abdulkärimov came free, but Jose Manuel Pinto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The goalkeeper, Abelardo Cristofol, was totally fooled by C. A. INDEPENDIENTE's Marco Jaume, who 97 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. For all the effort they put into the match, the C. A. INDEPENDIENTE players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Caspian FC.
