Jeronimo Gurutz charged in rather forcefully in the 14th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jeronimo Gurutz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Jeronimo Gurutz kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. Robustiano Cordareo who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 18thth minute tested the skills of Lázaro Guifre when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Claudio Guillem charged in rather forcefully in the 24th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Claudio Guillem the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Aquiles Evis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Aquiles Evis in the 28th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cirilo Curcio saved Talleres Cba. from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Matias Belo in the 31st minute of play forced Talleres Cba.'s goalkeeper Cirilo Curcio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cirilo Curcio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Matias Belo in the 33rd minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Matias Belo in the 34th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cirilo Curcio prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to INDEPENDIENTE AVELLANEDA getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Luciano Furman hit a great ball. When Silvio Santiago came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the Talleres Cba. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Silvio Santiago couldn't finish the play. Matias Belo might have been able to make a better finish in the 44th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Cirilo Curcio. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Matias Belo ran back to his position shaking his head. When Braulio Pelayo fell near the penalty area in the 48th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored INDEPENDIENTE AVELLANEDA's protests and gave Braulio Pelayo a yellow card for diving instead. In the 48th minute, Braulio Pelayo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Aquiles Evis in the 54th minute of play forced Talleres Cba.'s goalkeeper Cirilo Curcio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Aquiles Evis could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 63rd minute of the match, but Cirilo Curcio made a huge save. A collision led to Talleres Cba. getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Moises Xabel hit a great ball. With an all-out effort, INDEPENDIENTE AVELLANEDA's Cirilo Curcio threw himself towards the right post 67 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Matias Belo, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Lázaro Guifre showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tiburcio Mambru, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. 74 minutes into the match, Talleres Cba.'s goal looked a bit too open when Matias Belo came free, but Cirilo Curcio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tiburcio Mambru fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lázaro Guifre having to interfere. In the 80th minute of the match Moises Xabel shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Lázaro Guifre showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Cirilo Curcio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Matias Belo in the 87th minute of play. The INDEPENDIENTE AVELLANEDA fans' excitement grew in the 92nd match minute when INDEPENDIENTE AVELLANEDA's Matias Belo looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The supporters of Talleres Cba. booed when INDEPENDIENTE AVELLANEDA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 98 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sebastian Johans didn't get a good kick on the ball. The INDEPENDIENTE AVELLANEDA players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
