Guido Maura showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lisandro Ticho in the 22nd minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Niceto Dodorol during the 26th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Urusmayo booed when Atlas pasion was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Niceto Dodorol didn't get a good kick on the ball. During the 30th minute of the match Niceto Dodorol completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Niceto Dodorol a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Ruperto Bitxintxo hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. In the 39th minute, La Madeja left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Urusmayo fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. After 41 played minutes Atlas pasion got a freekick which was hit by Anselmo Lehior. Guido Maura showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lisandro Ticho, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. After the first half Urusmayo were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Lisandro Ticho to make the kick off. In the 57th of the match, La Madeja tried to place the ball in the upper right corner, but Guido Maura got in the way and made a wonderful save. Anselmo Lehior received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Denílson Vargas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ruperto Bitxintxo in the 65th minute of play forced Urusmayo's goalkeeper Denílson Vargas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
